Location. Set on the banks of the River Arno, the Hotel Columbus is a modern, six storey property with a sand coloured fa�ade, located within three kilometres of the Uffizi Gallery and the Ponte Vecchio. Florence Vespucci Airport is eight kilometres away, and takes approximately 25 minutes to reach by car.
Hotel Features. The Hotel Columbus features a traditional style interior finished with floral prints and marbled flooring. A buffet breakfast is served every morning, and the concierge is on hand to provide sightseeing advice. The hotel houses its own bar, and further amenities include room service (limited hours), a safe deposit box and dry cleaning services. Motorists will find complimentary parking on site.
La Caravelle is an informal, modern restaurant with cream walls and red marbled flooring, serving a range of local and international dishes.
Guestrooms. The 88 guestrooms feature simple, modern decor with patterned fabrics and extend to balconies. Amenities include dial up Internet connections, televisions, direct dial phones, safes and bathrooms with shower/tub combinations.
Expert Tip. The Uffizi Gallery, located three kilometres from the hotel, was founded in 1560 and houses one of the most important art collections in the world. Highlights include works by Botticelli, Titian, Da Vinci and Michelangelo.

|

Getting there. The airport is a short taxi ride from town, costing 13 16 EUR. Alternatively, a bus service runs half hourly to Santa Maria Novella Station, in the centre of Florence.
Driving directions. From the airport, take the A11 until reaching Firenza Nord and then follow the A1 to Firenze Sud. At the end of the junction, turn left at the traffic lights, heading towards the town centre. Follow the main road alongside the river for approximately 1.5 kilometres until reaching the hotel. Although the airport is close to Florence, traffic can be bad in the city, so guests are advised to allow 20 minutes for the journey.
